The month is almost at the end and it's not been a quiet one here at Open Adventure, with the culmination of the Haglöfs Open5 Series, the inaugural Overground Trail Race and tomorrow sees the start of a highly competitive 2 day race here in the Lake District.

How Fast? - Coast to Coast
Before I kick off on news of Open Adventure, just a personal plea for you to take a look at the howfast.org website. In just over 2 weeks I will be setting off to run as fast as I can across the country in aid of diabetes research. The question is how fast? With over £1000 of kit on offer its worth a guess. Take a look I’d personally appreciate your support.

Haglöfs Open5 Series
Finished with a cracking event down in Shropshire, there were still places to be sorted in the series table and the day itself showed one category settled with a difference of 1 second! We will be back later in the year with new locations and some great prizes. Hold your breath its coming.

Overground Trail Race
It was a bit of a surprise to all who raced – the views across the dales were fantastic. A great day out and one we look forward to repeating next year.

Two Day Open Events
Is kicking off in the Lake District tomorrow (Saturday) and may have already started by the time you read this. Fear not we are bringing this event to North Wales at the beginning of July – more details here.

C2C Adventure Race
Is breathing down our neck. An event that really does capture the imagination of those that get to the start line. Entries are still open more details here.

PS if you have a roadie gene there are some places going on the C2C in a Day (end of June). This event was full back in February but we have had a few in the skinny tyre brigade get cold feet. Top day out and one that if you miss this year you should check out next year.
