A quick one for us
The Coast to Coast in a Day a road cycle sportive is kicking off this weekend. This is the first one and you can tell there is a twinkle in eye of the skinny tyre brigade. It's too late to get an entry now, but suffice to say we will be back with this event in 2013. www.opencycling.com

Sting in Stirling
It's been over two years in planning and we can't wait to get to the start line of this event. Entries close this weekend - we know of a few teams muttering about putting an entry in... now is the time.
This event will have a very similar live experience to the adidas TERREX Swift with our online tracking dictating the leader board and the latest goings on with each team. Expect to hear more in the coming weeks.

Redbull Steeplechase
This is a special event being held on Sunday October 7th. A running event over the classic Peak District hills near Castleton with a bit of a difference. redbull.co.uk/steeplechase so expect our high standard. Behind the scenes Open Adventure is putting this one together with Redbull. Pre entry registration close in a few days.

Yes, the Haglöfs Open5 Series kicks off this November. Should be one near you as we tour the country looking for the best running and mountain biking this great country has to offer.

Welcome and goodbye
Many of the competitors will have seen Nicki at our recent events. Nicki is based here in our office in Cumbria. With a history in triathlon and a thing for swimming she is here to keep us all in order.
Sadly Dave Johnson the man behind the Haglöfs Open5 series and other events is moving on to pastures new. No doubt we will see Dave competing in future events but needless to say an important short hole needs filling.
If you are someone who can navigate to a blade of grass, love being out in the countryside, local to South Cumbria and happy to work with computers - this could be your dream job. Pop me an email and I'll wing out a job description by reply.
