If you are running your own events then you will know that getting the kit in is expensive, over the years we have built up our stock of event equipment to cater for small and medium size events. Take a look at the items below to see if they can help your event work.


Idiots Guide

On occasions we are asked to provide an idiots guide to setting up some of the kit below. First of all we don't use idiots on our events and we would suggest you don't either. If you don't have time to read the instructions that come with the kit that's cool but please don't hire from us.

Insurance

You either need to provide the insurance to cover any loss or damage to the equipment or underwrite its replacement cost (which maybe more than what we paid for it).

Kit for Free

Yep we are letting people take this stuff for FREE - in exchange for putting our leaflets in goody bags (not just on a random table at the end of an event). Email us to let us know how many competitors you have and we will work out a credit - does not include delivery or collection.

Clock

ClockWe have a Seiko 306 timing clock. Purchased in summer of 2009. The clock is 6 figure with digits 200mm high. It can count up and down or just display the time. We have both used it mounted on the roof of a car or also hanging on our gantry. It comes packed in its own flightcase and runs on AA batteries. Hire £100


Gantry

GantryOur start / finish gantry can be set up in two forms, either as a 3m wide gantry or 5m wide (only on soft ground). It is constructed out of Trilite and can be supplied with an unbranded START / FINISH banner. It does just fit on a roof rack of a car - otherwise you will need a van which can take a length of 3.4m Hire £100

We also have a simpler pole based gantry this is available for Hire at £20 just requires an allen key to put it together. It can only be erected on soft ground as it must be guyed out.

its important that when erecting gantry's you take in to consideration the effect high winds can have. We have on a number of occasions elected not to put up our gantry's due to high winds.

We can arrange to have double sided banners made up for you with your own branding for these gantry's - Cost £200 (3m) or £300 (5m) per double sided banner.

Banner Frames

We have 6 of these, they do a great job of showing off brands as well as highlighting registration and in extreme weather where the start is. Hire £15 each

We can also arrange to have single sided banners made up for you to use on these frames cost is £100 each. If you elect to have your own made - the banners need to be 3m x 1m hemmed and eyeletted.


Instant Marquee

Instant Marquee3m x 3m We use this in all sorts of places. Its not the type that takes and hour to put together (more like 5 mins) and is top quality. We use to have one we bought off ebay and it kepy slicing fingers so splashed the cash out on this one. Its is unbranded but does have velcro strips on the pelmets which we can make signs up for you to to put on. It comes with walls and equipment to fasten down on soft ground - Hire £100

Radios

RadiosWe pride ourselves in getting event communication right. We firmly believe that our events are safer because we invest time and money in to this equipment - we also find we need less volunteers as they are more efficiently used and as such they enjoy it more.

Handset radios - these commercial grade radios and you can use these out of the box. We have 10 x Entel 422 handsets (small and lightweight) and 6 x Motorola GP340's. On their own they will cover a registration area / parking etc - range of around 3km effectively line of sight. Hire £10 each.

To extend the range of this equipment we have invested in a mobile repeater. This can extend the range of the handsets to over 50km even in mountainous terrain. Our repeater can be sited remotely and can run on batteries for 24 hours (other options if more time is required). We have put this on hills and attached it to remote barns for some of our bigger events.

This does require a special license from Ofcom which we can arrange. And either we have install / dismantle the repeater or sometime should be put aside to training - its very easy to blow it up if it transmits with no antenna connected! Hire £150 (inc license)

If you do decide to go for the repeater option we also have 3 mobile stations (Motrorola GM360's) which can be used with either mag mount antennas in vehicles or base antennas for remote locations. Hire £20 each including antenna's and battery packs.


Portable PA System

We have a portable PA system that is designed to be used outside on small to medium sized events. It includes an integral battery - we also have radio handset mic and a radio lapel mic. The unit is also equipped with a CD player and has a cable that can connect to a MP3 player. There are two speakers (one can be used on its own) and it comes complete with speaker stands. Hire £60


Sportident

SPORTidentWe are often asked about our Sportident equipment and if we would hire this out. We only hire this kit where it is part of a service to provide event design and infrastructure. Even then our prices are the same as that of SPORTident UK. If you require a timing solution on its own please contact SPORTident UK.


Other event kit..

We have plenty of generic signage (toilets, parking, no parking, caution runners, caution cyclists, registration). We also have tea urns, lighting, generators, LCD projector (with a spare lamp) and a quality large screen.
