Dorking, North Downs :: 4th March

Intro  ::  Details: Weather, etc  ::  Event Updates  ::  Make a weekend of it..

Again Open Adventure travels down south to bring the Open5 event format south of London.

The North Downs has to be one of the most beautiful parts of the country with diverse woodlands and pretty villages around every corner. But don't be under the impression that just because it's in the south east it will be any easier. There are certainly one or two surprises in store for the discerning adventure racer!

This one is being planned by James Thurlow and Dave Johnson. James has lots of local knowledge having lived in this area for years before emigrating north to the Lakes.

Event Updates

[22/02] The transition for this event is a pleasant 4km bike ride away from registration on quiet country lanes. Most of the ride is gently undulating, but there is a steep climb towards the end. The ride to transition is not part of the event and you should allow 20-30 minutes to complete this. Please carry all kit required for the event to transition in a bag you can carry on your shoulders. Driving from registration to transition is not allowed. Anyone arriving by car will be asked to return to registration.
