Event Updates

[1/4] Important - a few of you have contacted us saying you are having problems in entering the event this weekend and that you are unable go any further than the payment screen. The reason for this comes down to a fire in a BT exchange in London yesterday (techie answer here).

If you are one of those people please email Rob Marriott who helps us with the entries - rob(at)openadventure.com with your details. We will also keep entries open for a further 24 hours. They will now close at midnight Friday night. Please accept our apologise.

[31/3] Oops forgot to add food will be availble at registration and after the event. Provided by locals Geoff and Cath Eston Hungry?.

[31/3] OK little update for the weekends event.. all looking promising for a great event. A few questions have been fired our way in regards to the remote transition so just to clarify - this will also be the start / finish as well. So you need to cycle in your own time back and forth from this area.

At the last event we did this we saw a few competitors get lost - we will correx sign the route but you do need to use your map. Also I'd suggest not lugging plastic kit boxes - use a rucksac.

Camping - as below because of the move of registration we have lost the area we had allocated for camping. For those who have already booked camping you should have recieved an email from us - if you want to camp we will be using the campsite behind the 3 pigeons inn in Craigfechan details in box above.

Remember this is the final event in the series its pretty important to us for you to download as soon as you return to the rugby club.

If you can please check this website for an update on Friday afternoon.

[22/3] An important update - we have had to move registration / parking from Ruthin School to the Rugby Club. This has meant we are in the process of finding an alternative location for those planning to camp on the Sunday night. We will have this sorted early next week.

Details on the Rugby Club here.

[16/3] For the day there will be a short cycle to the transition so you need to get your head around carrying your run kit and any food with you on the bike.

As this is the last event in the series we will be presenting the series awards and the £500 vouchers to highest scoring female and male. We hope to do this at 4.30pm so all competitors would need to download by 4.15pm

At the last event one pair didn't download until after the prize giving had started as they decided to get changed first. As it was they were up for a prize and we ended up having to change the published scores. We had an awkward conversation with the competitors that collected the prizes - whilst the scores were changed they lost out on £150 worth of kit.. don't let that be you. We will start on time and if you don't download in time it could be your loss.

We will be back with more updates in the coming weeks.

Make a weekend of it..

If you need a MTB fix for the weekend check out the trails at http://www.coedllandegla.com/ the event centre for last years Open12.
