Lake District 01/11/09
The first event of the Mountain Hardwear Open5 series kicks off in the Lake District with veteran Open5 competitor and local to the south Lakes Anthony Cooper as the planner.
Peak District – 06/12/09
Well we are back to the Peak District and Hope College, don’t worry if you were at the last event – still much to explore.
Ian Hughes is back with us planning this event, having got the Endurance Series and C2C out of his system. Expect some great riding and amazing views
South Pennines – 07/02/10
A new venue for Open Adventure – Bronte Country and the quaint little village of Haworth.
Planner for this event is local Emma Van Der Gucht – Volunteer, Open5 racer and Endurance Series competitor narrowly coming 2nd in the 2008 series.
Yorkshire Dales – 07/03/10
Yet another new venue to explore, this time we are being guided round Sedbergh by Open5 addict David Hetherington.
Ruthin School – 05/04/10
North Wales – yep the Open5’s are going international. We are heading back to some of the locations used on the Open12, with Tim Higginbottom scheming the foot stage and racer John Montgomery planning the MTB stage.
Coniston – 15/05/10 – Open5+
Well for those that made last years event will know this is a pretty special 5 hours. For this year we are partnering up with the National Trust who are keen to showcase some of the great landscape around Coniston.
The event as ever will include the usual fare of running and mountain biking but don’t expect it to stop there as we through in surprises that will make your ears curl.
