Open24 Adventure Race
The fourth year of running, and the second year of being voted the best UK adventure race. Expect a non-stop experience of adventure over 24hrs!

So what does it include, well the core of the event will include mountain biking, trekking (or running) and paddling with navigation a key part of the event. Each of the stages will include a special stage or 'trouser filler' - we have had white water paddling, canyoning, swimming, caving, abseiling - the thing is you won't know what these are until the event has started. This event is for male, female and mixed pairs and will cost £138 per person. The event will not require a support crew. The event is part of the endurance series, competitors who enter the series will be entitled to further discount on the entry fee. Check out the endurance series for further details. Please not that for this event boat hire is extra, the plan is that if competitors have their own boats they will be able to use them on the Open24. For those using their own boats it is likely that they will be asked to drop them off along with paddles at a location different to that of the registration before the event starts. This event uses Sportident for event timing, due to the length of the event and the number of controls visited we use SI-6 timing cards. If you require to hire one the cost is £5 per person (the online entry system will check to see if you have an SI-6 card registed in your profile). |

[5th May] We have put a link up on the right to the entry list so you can see who the competition is for the event. As you will see we have a large number of Andy's so if your partner is called Andy you might want to think of a different name for him as you might follow the wrong person. We have also updated the kit list although we have tried to keep it generic to keep the adventure detectives guessing.
A number of people have contacted us trying to find out the location, all well meaning reasons - needless to say we have been uncharacteristically unhelpful. What we will let on is that the event is not in the Brecons or Pembrokeshire.
We have provisionally booked a group field in a local campsite for those wishing to arrive on the Friday night the cost will be around £6 per person payable on arrival or in the morning.
