Disclaimer:

I have read the rules and understand the nature of this event. I agree that I enter at my own risk and take full responsibility for my safety and actions during the event. I therefore do not hold Open Adventure Limited or any of its agents responsible for any damage or injury sustained to me or my property during the event.

Refunds and Transfers:

Open5 events:

In the event of a cancellation more than 7 days before the event, a refund of the entry fee minus £5 admin fee per person will be given. Please note that no refund can be offered if you cancel with 7 days or less to the event date.

Up to midnight on the Thursday before the event competitors can transfer their entry to a future event within the series, however they will forfeit any oppourtunity for a refund.

Up to midnight on the Thursday before the event changes can be made to competitors and classes with no additional cost incurred. However after midnight on the Thursday any changes to entries will be subject to the entry on the day surcharge of £7 - these changes should be made and paid for at registration on the day.

Open12 and Open24 events:

Cancellations can be made up to one month before the event date, and a refund of the entry fee minus £10 admin fee per person will be given. After this date no refund is available. You may amend / transfer one competitor of a pair up to the Wednesday before the event - a full pairs entry is not transferble.

Equipment:

Where competitors use equipment provided by Open Adventure e.g bouyancy aids, ropes, boats, etc. it is expected that they be treated with all resonable care. Where a case of neglect results in damage to the equipment, the competitors will be expected to reimburse Open Adventure with the replacement value of the item. For example dragging boats over rocks, abraision of ropes, poling with paddles, etc.

Where competitors hire SPORTident timing cards, they assume responsibilty of the card until it is returned - any loss or damage will result in the cost being charged to the competitor. In situations e.g. canyonning and climbing where damage can occour Open Adventure advises competitors to cover the SI-card with a buff or a sweatband - the responsibility for its security resides with the competitor.

Photography and filming:

During our events there will be photographers and on occasions film crews. By entering our events you are giving consent that images of yourself maybe used to promote Open Adventure and/or its sponsors.
