Lakes in a Day
This weekend sees the first "Lakes in a Day" ultra marathon - a 48 mile foot race from the very top of the Lake District to the bottom. It's going to be a beautiful journey for competitors. You can follow their progress through the live tracking and leaderboards. If you're not racing then stay in the warm with a hot chocolate and see how they are getting on.

Haglöfs Open5
The annual 5 hour adventure racing series is about the get under way, with the first event less than a month away. The first event starts at the National Trust camp site on the side of Lake Windermere; a stunning location. There is an amazing choice of running and mountain biking in the area and with Lakeland adventure racing guru Joe Faulkner doing the race planning, this event is a must-do.

PlanetFear Kendal Mountain Festival 10km Trail Run
This stunning 10k trail run is back again after the fantastic feedback we received from racers and spectators last year. Not many trail races start and finish in the high street of a town centre and yet still take in stunning views and awesome trails! It is a unique location and a unique race - and quite frankly a bargain at £10. Come to the race and also enjoy this great festival of all things outdoors. Once again the 'endurance night' will be hosted by me, James Thurlow. Guests for this years session include Steve Birkinshaw, who will be telling the story of his run round all of the Wainwrights!

Coast to Coast Adventure Race
Finally, while you have the calendar out and pen in hand, make sure you book off the weekend of the Coast to Coast Adventure Race. This is the UK's only 4 day multisport stage race. The running, biking and kayaking is second to none, taking in the coasts, lakes, fells and mountains of the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales and Moors. And the evenings are brilliantly social too. Don't miss out! 28th - 31st August 2015.
No worries
