What a way to see the country this August, a classic route taking in the 3 National Parks that span England by boat / bike and on foot.
Video Short by Dave Macfarlane

To help budding racers our own safety advisor Andy Sallabank is putting on a BCU 2 star paddling course here in the Lakes on 22/23 June - self catering with camping £125. You can book online using our entry system.
In true BBC style other courses from other providers are available.. not least from James Stevenson, speak to this fella if you want to get your 3 Star Sea or your 2 star.

There is no man who gets more excited about the scenery around Ingleton than Adventure Racer Mick Kenyon. Its with that enthusiasm he has put together a 12 mile trail run on the 26th May as part of the Overground Underground Festival. Not enough?
A full calendar not enough from Open Adventure? Bit close but if you are free next weekend and want a tour of Grizedale Forest check out the Cumbrian Commotion from Trailplus.
Want to explore overseas with your Adventure Racing habit, we know of 4 UK teams going out to the World Champs in Costa Rica. Perhaps too far, what about one of the events from the Euro Champs or the AR World Series.

Tracking
For those who know Open Adventure we have found ourselves in the business of live tracking events and have recently just set up a new website www.opentracking.co.uk if you have an event that you think would merit from Trackers, or perhaps you have a big challenge that you would like people to know where you are on, give us a shout.
For those at the TERREX event last summer in Scotland, check out this chinky little link to see what happened during the race (click on teams to hide / unhide). Just one of the little web tools we are developing in Open Tracking. |

And Finally..
Have a good weekend.. it's a cheesy quote but one worth remembering "no such thing as bad weather for racing just the wrong clothing".
No worries
