Been busy at Open Adventure towers over the past month with some great events coming up in exciting new locations. Read on.

Haglöfs Open5 Adventure Race Series

The Haglöfs Open5 Series kicked off in Style with the first event in Staveley. Quite a stark contrast to the ice and snow we had last time we visited. Check out our Facebook page for photos. The results can be found here..

The second event in the series is a first for us 6th November - we are taking the event to the Shropshire Hills, with the event based out of Church Stretton. Jim Rounsley is the planner and has trawled the hills this summer checking out the control locations. It promises to be a great event - more details here..

Remember for the series you only have to do 3 events.. if you do more the highest 3 scores count. And if you enter more than 3 events at the same time you will get a discount on your entry.

Blacks Singletrack Trail Run

If you are a southerner and want to stretch your legs this weekend check out the Blacks Trail Run.. it's a bit of a short one for us with 5km and 10km options.. Bargain at £20 with a free Technical T-shirt from The North Face. Entries on the Day available. www.blackstrailrun.co.uk

Gisburn Forest - MTBO

A Trail run not your thing, why not check out Alan Hartley's (Open Adventure regular) Mountain Bike Orienteering event on 19th Nov over at Gisburn Forest in the Forest of Bowland - something a bit different. Find out more here

Quick reminder to all those toying with taking on the adidas TERREX swift or Stirling events in 2012. There is a discount on the entry fee till 1st November (10% off)..
