November Newsletter..

Autumn is definitely here and with it comes the Open5 series. Crisp mornings and clear blue sky's (OK maybe the odd bit of rain). For news on all things Open Adventure read on...

Haglöfs Open5 Adventure Race Series

The second event of the series went off with bang (it was the day after Guy Fawkes) with the Shropshire Hills providing the scenery. The feedback has been resounding - 'we want to go back, what a great location'. To read Dave Johnson's report click here and see Charlotte's take on the day check out the Facebook album here.

The Series table is online, with only 3 events out of the 7 to qualify, it's not too tricky to take a stab at getting a ranking in the series. The next event is just around the corner on the 4th December, Bacup in the South Pennines, with Emma Van der Gucht in the planners chair. The event is in association with local MTB'ers www.pmba.org.uk.

2 Day Event

Next year we have a new event in store with a 2 day stage event in the South Lakes on 28-29th April. The planners are locals Tom Gibbs and Paul Noble who are keen to bring this kind of event back to UK Adventure Racing. Open5 competitors can get £20 off their entry and winners of the Haglöfs Open5 Series will get a free entry details here.

Trackers

For those who have followed us over the years, you will know we have taken a great deal of interest in getting live coverage of our events on the internet. We have worked with numerous companies in making this happen and to be honest struggled to get the kind of service we would expect hence we decided to do it ourselves. So if you want to hire a tracker for a long distance challenge give us a shout.
