June Newsletter

Welcome to the June Newsletter - news on the exciting planetFear Open12, the Open24 and the new Haglöfs Open5 Series. If adventure sport is where you are at - you are in the right place.

planetFear Open12

This years planetFear Open12 took place from Pickering in the magnificent surroundings of the North Yorks Moors National Park. Planned by local racer and singlespeed supremo Wayne Elliott, he found some amazing challenges for both new and experienced competitors.

We included everything from trains to zip wires to waterfalls and sweet singletrack MTBing. Dave Macfarlane has put together a race report on this weekend of Adventure here. video short to come soon.

planetFear Open24

If the above Open12 report captures your imagination and you wished you had entered then there is still time to enter the final event in this years planetFear Endurance Series, the Open24.

This event takes place on the 30th/31st July in the Lake District. It's a great challenge for those stepping up from one day racing. To enter click here. entries close 17th July

Haglöfs Open5 series

Planning is going well for the extended 7 event Haglöfs Open5 series for 2011-2012. We have something for everyone as Open Adventure are venturing further south than ever before with the January event in the Quantocks and the March event in the North Downs.

So for all you folks down south who have heard so much about how great Open5 events are, now is your chance to come along and experience it for yourself. Guest planners are on board for all but one of the events and are busy putting plans into place for the new series. It's going to be a cracker!

Dates for the series are :-

• Lake District :: 2nd October
• Shropshire Hills :: 6th November
• South Pennines :: 4th December
• Quantocks :: 8th January
• North Pennines :: 5th February
• North Downs :: 4th March
• Peak District :: 1st April
