It's that time of year where we see the onset of the darker nights. Well don't panic we are here to make that transition easy and provide you with a lineup of races that will keep you inspired into the Autumn and through those Winter Blues. The Mountain Hardwear series promises to offer new locations and challenges to keep you fired up. So be sure to keep an eye on the website and enter early for these events.

The Mountain Hardwear Open5 series

The Open5 series is open to adventure racers of all. You will have 5 hours to visit as many points (controls) as you can. Some points can only be visited by mountain bike others by foot; some are easy other more challenging.

Competitors can either enter the solo, mixed or pairs classes and it is a great introduction to those new to the world of adventure racing

Forest of Bowland, 7th Nov - Slaidburn Village Hall
North York Moors, 5th Dec - Sutton Bank Visitors Centre
Northern Dales, 6th Feb - Kirkby Stephen High School
Peak District, 6th March - Bakewell Market
Lake District, 3rd April - Grizedale Visitors Centre

Mountain Hardwear have supported Open Adventure races for over five years now. Peter Rostron has been the man behind the scenes, as well as supporting or competing at many races. Peter has moved on to pastures new and we wish him the best of luck. Mountain Hardwear support will continue, with Julie Russell and Toby Davies wishing us success in the up and coming events and commenting:
