Racers
Its that time again as we recite the goings on at Open Adventure. All things are go at this end so if you fancy some real adventure read on.

New Balance Open24
Adventure Race
Yep its pretty special as the New Balance Open24 takes on Northumberland. The finish is at the truly amazing Alnwick Castle, one of Harry Potters old haunts. Those entered can expect a real treat for 24 hours.. on that note if you are tempted entries are still open.

Open24 | 25/26th July - Up North www.openadventure.com/open24
Last month we ran a competition for a £50 Anquet Map token - although we had plenty of speculative queries we didn't get the right answer.. so now we have narrowed it down a little (Northumberland).
So do you know where this location is? Just to ramp it up we have thrown in another £50 worth of kit from our new sponsors see below.. So £100 worth of prizes is upfor grabs if you can tell us where this location is (8 figure grid reference please) oh and you don't have to be an Open24 competitor.
NB larger photo in last newsletter see here.

New Balance Endurance Series
Well if you missed it the Open12 took on Wales at the end of June, with Tim Higginbottom at the helm. It was an amazing event and for the first time in Adventure Racing included some challenging climbing.
Winners walked away with a plethora of kit from New Balance that should set them in good stead for adventuring in the hills.

Photos and race reports from Rob at sleepmonsters are online. Andy Wilson of For Goodness Shakes and Ruth Johnson have also tapped a few words on their experience. You can also find links to blogs / mini report on our facebook site - www.facebook.com/openadventure.
This all leaves things a little tight at the top of the leaderboard - so expect a feisty Open24 as these kings and queens of AR battle it out at the end of July.
Coast to Coast
Entries have closed and we have a truly amazing field of competitors - from some scratch Open5 teams to solos that have competed amongst the best in the world. This event will be tracked online and if you are free over the weekend why not come along see the start or the finishes each day.
We have placed the order for trackers and hence technically we can't take any more entries - however a little error has meant that we do still have 1 team entry available. First come first served so to speak. Wing us an email if you are ready.
28-31st August | Coast to Coast Adventure Race - www.openadventure.com/c2c

Anquet maps are on the case with the C2C offering a special map deal - to check out more take a look at the C2C event updates.

Dales MTB centre
On our recent recce to check out the Keld / Castle Bolton transitions we popped by to say hello to Stuart Price at Dales Mountain Biking. Stuart helped us out with advice when we ran our Open5's out of Reeth so it was great to enjoy a brew in his new cafe and be taken on a tour of his new MTB centre.

We can highly recommend not only this little corner of the world but Stuarts MTB centre for cafe / MTB hire and accommodation. Its a great location to go with a bunch of mates for the weekend or just a quiet weekend exploring the trails. Take five minutes to check out his website here.

Sponsors
In the last newsletter we mentioned we have a few more sponsors onboard, they have been really impressed with our events and are keen to see racers adorned with some of their kit. Expect to see prizes from Bridgedale, Adventure Medical Kits and Sea to Summit complimenting our prize pool at forthcoming events.

Finally
We will be back next month with news on the 09/10 Mountain Hardwear Open5 series, as ever expect some new locations to explore.
No worries
