Open5 in Staveley
Its only 12 days to the next Mountain Hardwear Open5 Adventure Race in the Lake District - the event is nestled in the Kentmere Valley beside the outdoor mecca of Staveley. Should be a great day out - entries will close on the Thursday night before the race (entries on the day still available).
The guys from NAV4 will be at registration offering advice - so if you are new to the game, say hello to these guys.
If you were at the last open5 in Blanchland - take a nosey at Pete Wells photos on Sleepmonsters here and the race reports online here.

Coast to Coast
Saturday the 1st also sees entries open for the Open Coast to Coast Adventure Race.. We have been mumouring about this since the inception of Open Adventure and 2009 will see a dream come true.
We have wrestled with the categories and have really wanted to make this workable for all of the Open5 competitors, as well as those use to longer races. Hence in addition to solos we also have a team category of three with only 2 people racing at any one time. The event is a 4 day stage event, which means stopping each night to get some kip.
